Alberto Abella


Doctor by the Rey Juan Carlos University. Author of MELODA, a metric on the reuse of data and a researcher on the modeling of open data ecosystems and their social and economic impact.

He is an expert in data open by the COTEC foundation and has recently published (2017) the report "Reuse of open data: an opportunity for Spain". Founder, member of the board and former president of the Spanish chapter Open Knowledge Spain, and founder of Barcelona Open Data Initiative, ODI node in Barcelona and former member of the public-private group of the Ministry of Industry for the reuse of public sector information. He is a professor of open / big data and transparency in numerous business schools and universities INAP, EOI, URJC, UPV, International Transparency, AMETIC, etc.
